Discounted services provided through Lifeline, a government assistance program. Only eligible customers may participate in the Lifeline program and participation is limited to one benefit per household consisting of either wireline or wireless service. Documented proof of participation in a government assisted program or income qualification is required for enrollment. Lifeline service is non-transferrable. Consumers who willfully make a false statement in order to obtain Lifeline benefits can be punished by fine or imprisonment or can be barred from the program.
